Hannah Lowden Medical Biller at House of Physical Therapy covering East Village and Williamsburg clinics

After spending the last six years as a teacher, I am excited to begin this new chapter in medical billing!

As a teacher, I developed strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others. I enjoyed building relationships with students and families, solving problems, and making sure everyone felt supported along the way.

As my family has grown, I found myself looking for a new opportunity that would allow me to continue helping people while exploring a new professional path. Medical billing stood out to me because it combines problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail—all skills I have relied on throughout my career in education.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our son, and our two goldendoodles.

We spend lots of time outdoors: hiking, playing pickleball or tennis, boating, and fishing. We love traveling and making memories together as a family.

  • This is a key support role ensuring our patient’s care is covered by their health insurance. As an out of network practice, we submit claims on your behalf which involves verifying coverage, filing prior authorizations, and fighting for medical necessity.

  • LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) for K–6 is an intensive professional development program that trains educators in the Science of Reading.

It is a comprehensive, two-year course of study that typically requires over 160 hours to complete.

  • Orton-Gillingham (OG) certification is a formal credential that trains educators to deliver explicit, multisensory, and systematic phonics instruction for students with dyslexia and reading difficulties.

Serving others has always been my greatest passion. Whether I was supporting students in the classroom or now helping patients navigate the billing process, my goal is to make each experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.

I look forward to helping make your experience a positive one and supporting you throughout your physical therapy care journey!
