House of PT now open in willyb!

At House of Physical Therapy we treat active professionals who use exercise as their stress relief.

We understand the fear of being told to "rest" and that drives our treatment philosophy. With our average patient reporting pain relief within the first 3 sessions, we then target the underlying cause to prevent the pain from returning, and stay with you as you transition back to the gym with full confidence!

Stephanie Telibasa opened HOPT in the East Village in 2017.

House of PT physical therapists at the Williamsburg North Brooklyn office grand opening party

Dr. Julia Schindel, PT joined our team at House of Physical Therapy in 2023 and is taking the lead opening our Williamsburg Brooklyn office. As a Williamsburg resident herself, Dr. Julia is excited to help the local runners, weightlifters, climbers and fitness enthusiasts, as well as those looking to start their fitness journeys. Dr. Julia received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh and has worked with the orthopedic athletic population since. As an NCAA Division 1 collegiate level gymnast, she understands the impact being told to rest has on your overall well being.

Dr. Jason Yang, PT graduated from the University of Pittsburg with Dr. Julia and has joined us at House of PT to work together again! Dr. Jason’s mission as a physical therapist is “to help others understand their situation and their body’s better. With understanding we can have clarity, hope, and optimism. Whether you are dealing with acute low back pain from lifting, that nagging shoulder injury that keeps popping up, or even uncertainty in your rehab journey- I am here to provide understanding. I believe that you are capable of running that race or setting that PR at the gym or simply just move freely and without pain.”

Dr. Shannon Keane, PT is a Stony Brook Grad like Stephanie and Dr. Jillian! She returned home to NY after spending 3 years in Colorado at a clinic treating skiers, snowboarders, and alpine athletes. Dr. Shannon loves the fact that she gets to “ jump up from a desk and implement evidence based techniques that stimulate the mind and body connection.” As an athlete herself, playing soccer and softball, she understands from the patient perspective what it means to recover from injury.

We look forward to seeing you in the neighborhood and helping you reach your health and fitness goals.
